Design Services for Removal and Replacement of Fire Pump and Associated Components at Peabody Apartments GA001000171
The Housing Authority of the City of Augusta, Georgia invites engineering firms to submit qualifications and proposals for design services relating to the Removal and Replacement of the existing Fire Pump and Associated Components at Peabody Apartments, GA001000171, 1425 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30901.
Scope of Work: Peabody Apartments is an 11-story high rise consisting of 228 senior apartments located at 1425 Walton Way in Augusta. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of the existing fire suppression system to include but not limited to the fire pump, jockey pump, control panels, and associated piping, and install a new fire pump, jockey pump, control panels, generator, bypass panel, direct connection to utility power supply, and associated piping to comply with the latest version of NFPA 20, NEC Article 695 and all other applicable codes. A preliminary scope of work is attached as information. All acceptable proposals will be clearly labeled RFQ Design Services for the Removal and Replacement of Fire Pump and Associated Components at Peabody Apartments.
Extent of Professional Services: Preparation of all plans, specifications, bid and contract documents and project management throughout to accomplish the proposed project in strict accordance with Federal, state, and local regulations. This includes any testing, load calculations, and/or review meetings with the Authority Having Jurisdiction to determine the full Scope of Work. The firm selected must have previous experience in similar Fire Suppression projects. A premium will be placed on previous experience in public housing developments and/or HUD work. The contractual agreement will be the standard HUD Contract Form HUD-51915. A copy of the standard agreement is available upon request from the Contact Person named below.
