Bristol Redevelopment and Housing Authority (BRHA) is seeking qualified applicants for its Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This executive-level position represents the Board of Commissioners (BOC) in fulfilling the mission of the Agency. The CEO is accountable for program results, safety and security of all BRHA assets, and satisfactory results of required program evaluations. The CEO recommends strategy, budgets, and programs to the BOC.
Qualified applicants will possess a BS degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management, or a closely related field plus five years of responsible managerial experience in public housing or regulatory agency, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience resulting in the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
Certification as a Public Housing Manager is required within one year of entry into the position. The Public Housing Director’s Association Executive Director Education Program (PHADA/EDEP) or National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials Certified Management Executive (NAHRO CME) certifications are highly desirable. Additional certifications in Fair Housing, Maintenance, Enterprise Income Verification System (EIV), and Uniform Physical Condition Standards (UPCS) are desirable.
Demonstrated understanding of public housing, including applicable laws and regulations, maintenance, project management, and financial management are required.
