Director of Property Management – Paducah, KY

Director of Property Management – The Housing Authority of Paducah, Kentucky, is seeking a Director of Property Management to organize, direct, and manage the agency’s property management activities and staff for its 855 public housing units. This will include directing all aspects of leasing, compliance and reporting, lease enforcement, marketing, wait list management, resident relations, and serving as a representative of HAP in meetings with tenants, tenant advocates, governmental agencies, HUD and various other entities.  The ideal candidate will possess and routinely communicate with the public and staff a working knowledge of applicable local, state and federal housing laws, including fair housing and landlord/tenant law while ensuring that property management practices achieve a high level of function including timely rent collection, timely turning over and renting of vacant units in accordance with established policies and standards.  Proven supervisory, leadership, and team building experience are required as the position necessitates a manager who can bring the department’s diverse employees even closer together, transforming a good team to an excellent team by developing each individual’s skills and talents to their fullest potential.  This individual will create metrics for property performance and monitor the same through timely budget-to-actual variance analysis, and evaluation of non-financial property performance measures.  Education, experience and training requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, or related field or five (5) years progressively responsible experience in public housing management in a supervisory role and at least three year’s working in an administrative capacity related to budgeting, data processing and organizational management or an equivalent combination of experience and education.  Interested applicants should direct a cover letter and resume to Trelise Askew Gibson, 2330 Ohio Street, Paducah, Kentucky, 42003 or via email to trelise@paducahhousing.com.
